Senior Test Engineer

Description:
Develop and execute test plans and procedures including data reduction and analysis based on product specifications. Generate test reports and release notes. Interact with the System Engineering group to define testing scope and architecture. Interact with the Software Development group to address software issues and testing approaches. Troubleshoot system-level problems and coordinate internal resources to identify solutions and/or work-arounds. Develop test automation and analysis tools. Assist in the development of product requirements based on operational experience.

Requirements:
Candidate must have a BSEE degree (MSEE preferred) and five or more years of relevant experience along with excellent system-level troubleshooting skills and good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in the wireless industry and specifically wireless location applications (LBS, E911, etc), elements (MSC, BSC, BTS, MPC, PDE) and technologies (GSM, CDMA) preferred. Knowledge of networking protocols (SS7, TCP/IP) is required. Experience in working with Carrier grade equipment and operating systems (UNIX, Sun Solaris OS, as well as experience in software development and scripting (PERL, Shell scripts, C/C++) is required.

System Engineer

Description:
The System Engineer is responsible for the development of system/component specifications for telecommunications Carrier-grade messaging platforms supporting location infrastructure. Essential duties and responsibilities include: working on system designs through the complete product lifecycle; collaborating with Product Management to identify the product requirements; specifying the requirements in sufficient detail for the Software Development team to develop the product; assisting Software Development by refining requirements to resolve technical issues; assisting System Test in developing test cases to the system/component specifications; research, evaluate and select potential vendors (software and hardware); and estimating new development costs and schedule. The position also involves knowledge of wireless technologies such as GSM, CDMA and/or 802.11.

Requirements:
Candidate must have a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years experience in working in radio frequency (RF) engineering or wireless air interfaces/wireless communications systems.

Database Software/Application Engineer

Description:
The Database Software/Application Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of Enterprise-level, highly-efficient applications within an Oracle database environment, including design, coding and testing of software for existing and new Carrier products for the wireless telecommunication industry, specifically for the E911 and location-based services market. Essential duties and responsibilities include implementing design concepts in SQL./PLSQL in an Oracle 10g/11g software development environment, optimizing the performance of the application, developing and maintaining code with a software configuration system, following the software requirement specifications and working with the System Engineering team to estimate development timelines and cost estimates.

Requirements:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or computer science and 5 plus years of previous experience in database application software development, extensive experience in C++ object-oriented software design and development in a UNIX environment; extensive experience in SQL and PLSQL development in an Oracle environment; tuning experience in large-sized databases (terabyte); database design experience; experience in ETL; familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g features and capabilities; knowledge and experience in shell scripting, Perl and Python, experienced with Solaris and Linux operating systems; experience in Oracle system administration including allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements, creating storage structures, creating primary objects and optimizing the performance of the database.
