LAM LocationAssurance Device (LAD)
The LAD is a remote test unit that automates in-field test calls. The LAD collects empirical test data from within the live network, enabling network operators to test, verify, calibrate, and evaluate the performance of location networks.
LAM Network Server
The LAM Network Server manages the end-to-end process of assuring quality of service (QoS) in a wireless network. The primary functions of the LAM Network Server are:
Terminate test calls from LADs and handsets
Interface with core network elements (MSC, MPC/GMLC, PDE/SMLC) via SS7 or TCP/IP as required to support various network call flows
Provide real-time network status and alarm generation
Manage the population of field LADs, including over-the-air configuration updates
Forward data to the LAM Report Server for analysis and reporting.
LAM Report Server
The LAM Report Server is the centralized warehouse for data analysis and reporting. The LAM Report Server collects, correlates, and stores automated and manually-generated test call data from the LAM Network Server interfaces and LADs.
LAM Client
The LAM Client is a rich Java client application, installed on an end-user’s computer, which provides an intuitive and powerful graphical user interface (GUI) to view data stored on the LAM Report Server. The LAM Client runs as a local application on common Windows operating systems.
