Don Winters
President, White Hawk Associates

A telecommunications industry veteran, Winters has spent the past 18 years in the wireless communications industry. Currently, Winters serves as president of White Hawk Associates, a wireless consulting company specializing in corporate strategy, technology planning, interim management assignments, executive placement, and mergers and acquisitions. He also sits on the board of advisors at Hyperspace Communications, a provider of software that accelerates web and client/server-based network applications. He is also a member of the board of directors at rMarkets, a provider of telecommunications products and services through major retail channels.

Winters formerly served as chief operating officer at SignalSoft Corp., a developer of location-based applications and middleware for wireless carriers worldwide. Winters joined SignalSoft during seed funding in 1996 and was instrumental in helping it grow into a successful public company. SignalSoft was sold to Openwave in 2002.

Before joining SignalSoft, Winters was the vice president of business development for Coral Systems, a developer of fraud detection software for wireless operators. Prior, he was the managing director of corporate technology at AirTouch Communications.
